Ya'll...doesn't perfect weather always make a wedding A-MAZING??? It does....really really does. I've been to three perfect weddings in October. Just saying...I've decided that October is the way to go. I know there are many people out there who don't like October weddings because they conflict with football schedules, but I'm not one of them.
This weekend, we skipped up to Atlanta for my step-sister(ish)'s wedding. Our parents aren't married...just living happily ever after....get it??? OK. First of all, let me say that I love hanging with families full of cousins and cousins and cousins....makes me want to have 4 kids so they can all have four of their own and then dozens of cousins. That's how this family was and it was glorious.
Second, let me just discuss the perfectly homemade details that were snuck in all around the wedding...starting with the hoopah made by the handy groom.
He also hand carved the table numbers and a little i + r display for the reception. They didn't make the place card holders, but instead ordered them on etsy, which counts as homemade to me! You can't tell from these pics, but everything was orange and cranberry and deep purple...perfect!
As for traveling with the girls by plane...I wouldn't call it perfect, but it was fine. We were all totally spent by the time we got home, but everything is now back to normal. Music class and grocery stores and napping. Now I better hurry up and go finish those little owl costumes before time runs out!

Hello Friend! I was just messaging with your father! So, you were in Alpharetta and you didn't let anyone know?!?! My neighborhood is across the street from Country Club of the South!!! I was RIGHT THERE!!! Well, actually, I wasn't at my house, I was house sitting for the parents. They were in Kentucky at a horse race thing and I was watching their dog. But still, I was 5 miles away!! Please let a Murphy know when you are going to be in Atlanta! We would love to see some old friends and meet some new babies! Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful time! I LOVE your blog!!! Thanks for sharing! Hope all is well with your family! ~katie
